All of our classroom portions are online. A student can complete up to 2 hours of classroom a day.
After you have completed the 30 hours of online coursework, go to the "files" section of your online account. Print the completion form (called the MV3001) found there and take this to the DMV to take your permit test. This is the state permit test which is composed of a Knowledge and Signs test. This test is based on the material from the 30 hour course, but you can also find an overview of topics in the Wisconsin Motorist's Handbook, which can be downloaded from the WI DMV website.
You will need to bring the printed MV3001 form, a certified copy of your birth certificate or a valid US passport, and your Social Security card. Parents should sign this at the DMV or in front of a notary.
Before your first lesson, your permit number (found on your temps below your photo) must be added to your account. The number will begin with the first letter of your last name, followed by 13 numbers.
To schedule (or cancel) a lesson, please call our office (262-305-8295) or email (info@greenlightdriverseducation.com). Lessons are not scheduled automatically and we typically schedule 1-2 months in advance, depending on how long you have until you are able to get your license. Remember, if you don't turn 16 for 6 - 12 months, you'll want your lessons spaced out so you are better prepared for your test when the time comes.
To cancel a lesson, please call our office (262-305-8295) or email (info@greenlightdriverseducation.com). We require 24-hours notice so we can adjust our driver's schedule accordingly. A fee of $50 will be accessed for any students who "no-show" or show up to their lesson without their permit. Our instructors will always ask to see your temps at the beginning of a lesson. The only exception to the fee is inclement weather.
